Vicente Larrea is one of the most important designers in our country. Among his works, numerous and iconic ones between the 60's and 70's are presented, with posters, album covers and logos standing out. He is responsible for giving a face to the chilean music of the time, achieving a recognizable aesthetic and giving an identity to the musical groups. He designed posters for different organizations. In 1963 he began his graphic work in the departament of cultural Extension of the University, where he dedicated to the production of informative material for seasonal schools always with a posture and social resposibility that is reflected in his works, it delivered a message, mixing illustration effectively for a large audience. Design can affect the world too much, it can affect it negatively or positively. Everything will depend on the approach and positioning that the designer takes in front of the world that sorrounds him. Design is in contact with people on a daily basis, either in an objetc or visual way, interacting directly or through its environment therefore it strongly influences in people's lives. I see myself as part of the change, leaving behind modes of design based on consumerism and programmed obsolescence, focusing on the planet, since it is where we live, therefore something should not be designed to threaten the planet in any of their production stages. We must also take charge from the moment a product is designed to how it is going to descompose in its possible disuse, anticipating waste. Also maintaining an important focus on people's lives and that each design is for a higher quality of it and significant contribution in their day to day.

A food that I really like is the hamburger. It's a typical fast food and is basically a sandwich with a patty inside with other ingredients added. These ingredients can be lettuce, tomato, pickles, cheese, onion, among others. You can customized to your liking, so there are infinite options to choose.  It is made by cutting a bread in half, because all the ingredients go in between. Before you ensamble it you have to prepare the ingredients that you are going to use, like grill the hamburger, cut the lettuce, tomato and others an then you put them layered all together inside the bread. You can also add sauses like ketchup or mayonaise if you like. Hamburgers can be really damaging for my health if I eat them frecuently, these are not a healty food but if you eat them ocasionally it doesn't do much. I really like them because it reminds me of my childhood when i used to go to McDonald's and it was one of the first icons I identified and it's my confort food.

  I work as a freelancer designer since four years ago.  I  used a graphics tablet as my main tool, but this one had a limitation, should be used connected to the computer. Since two years a go, I decided to buy an ipad and the apple pencil. From that moment these have become my favorites pieces of technology.  I use these artifacts as my main study and work tools, whit these I can read, take notes, draw, design and much more. These are a very versatile duo . These pieces of thechnology have simplified tasks in my day to day, these have been a contribution in my life thanks to be a very versatile and portable. I would definitely recommend using these artifacts, buying these is a great option despite of  being very expensives. 

Whe n I was a kid. I dreamed of being a muralist or designer and work paiting murals in the street or design, working with big brands like nike and adidas. At the moment of applying to the university I had four options, Pedagogy in history  Journalism,  Architecture And Design. I decided to study Architecture, although after a year in the carreer I changed my mind and I decided study Design because I decided to go back to my childhood interest.  My experience at university until now has been super good with the carrer but I can't say the same about FAU, your administration is a mess. The kind of job I would like to have is the same one I dreamed of as a child but I don´t care about the big brands anymore. My main focus is people and their welfare. I want to help the community and the planet in general from my area of knowledge.  

Hi, My name is Juan. I lived all my life in San bernardo, untill a few months ago that I went to live to Santiago on my own, with my girlfriend and her bunny, they are now my roomates. Since I was very little I fell in love with Hip-Hop culture and at very young age I started painting graffiti. Although studying design was always on my plans, when I finished highschool I started to study Architecture. But then, when I finished my first year, I decided to actually go to study Design and go back to my childhood interests. At the moment I'm almost finishing this carreer. About my family I can tell that is comformed by my parents, my sister and my nephew, who is one of my favorite person in the world.
