Who am I?



Hi, My name is Juan. I lived all my life in San bernardo, untill a few months ago that I went to live to Santiago on my own, with my girlfriend and her bunny, they are now my roomates.

Since I was very little I fell in love with Hip-Hop culture and at very young age I started painting graffiti. Although studying design was always on my plans, when I finished highschool I started to study Architecture. But then, when I finished my first year, I decided to actually go to study Design and go back to my childhood interests. At the moment I'm almost finishing this carreer.

About my family I can tell that is comformed by my parents, my sister and my nephew, who is one of my favorite person in the world. Although I actually do not live with them at the momment, my new home is in a building close to the santa isabel train station.

I really enjoy basketball and music, especially rap music. I also like everyday life and old and hood cultures. Finally, I am on a tattoo project that has me very excited.

POST 4: My favorite food

A food that I really like is the hamburger. It's a typical fast food and is basically a sandwich with a patty inside with other ingredients added. These ingredients can be lettuce, tomato, pickles, cheese, onion, among others. You can customized to your liking, so there are infinite options to choose.  It is made by cutting a bread in half, because all the ingredients go in between. Before you ensamble it you have to prepare the ingredients that you are going to use, like grill the hamburger, cut the lettuce, tomato and others an then you put them layered all together inside the bread. You can also add sauses like ketchup or mayonaise if you like. Hamburgers can be really damaging for my health if I eat them frecuently, these are not a healty food but if you eat them ocasionally it doesn't do much. I really like them because it reminds me of my childhood when i used to go to McDonald's and it was one of the first icons I identified and it's my confort food.

Post 6: Who is a person/expert on your field that you admire?

Vicente Larrea is one of the most important designers in our country. Among his works, numerous and iconic ones between the 60's and 70's are presented, with posters, album covers and logos standing out. He is responsible for giving a face to the chilean music of the time, achieving a recognizable aesthetic and giving an identity to the musical groups. He designed posters for different organizations. In 1963 he began his graphic work in the departament of cultural Extension of the University, where he dedicated to the production of informative material for seasonal schools always with a posture and social resposibility that is reflected in his works, it delivered a message, mixing illustration effectively for a large audience. SKILL: READING COMPREHENSION

First of all, I picked these three places because their cultures are fascinating to me. 1) Machu picchu I choosed Machu picchu because it was part of the Inca Empire and since I was little I really liked precolombine cultures an their mythology. Whithout a doubt these civilizations were amazing, with a very rich culture. Undoubtedly these civilizations were amazing, with a very rich cultures and with very advanced knowledge such as very efficient agricultural techniques, they were great builders and in addition to this they had extensive knowledge about astrology. 2) Rapa nui  I feel that it is an island full of magic, far from the mainland, full of mysteries related to the moai still to be solved, as well a super interesting culture. 3) Great wall of china I feel that it is a majestic place that represents how incredible the ancient civilizations were and how capable they were to build, I also really like Chinese culture and I have a great fascination for its mytology.
